Polis Journalism Conference 2012
23 March 2012
London School of Economics, London, UK
We are delighted to have teamed up once again with LSE POLIS and the BBC College of Journalism to co-produce the 2012 POLIS Journalism Conference. Reporting the World will take place on Friday 23rd March at the Aldwych campus of the London School of Economics.
This year's conference will bring together some of the most distinguished names in radio, television and newspaper journalism to look at how well we have reported on the major global news stories: wars, protests, economic crisis, and disasters.
Some commentators have noted an apparent increase in the number of big international news events and issues breaking in the last couple of years, but is this true?
If yes, then do we have the resources to concentrate on more than one major story at a time?
In the parallel sessions we will look more closely at how we can report better: ethics, data, standards, and new social media tools. In the networking foyer area we also hope to have a photography exhibition and other stands showing journalism innovation.
The 2012 Polis Journalism Conference will take place at the London School of Economics, London, UK on 23 March 2012.
